Electronic cigarette

March 8th, 2010

Electronic cigarettes (also known as e cigarette and electric cigarettes)are the newest product on the market. They are designed to look and feel like real cigarettes, even down to emitting artificial smoke however they do not actually contain any tobacco. Users inhale nicotine vapour which looks like smoke without any of the carcinogens found in tobacco smoke which are harmful to the smoker and others around him.

The Electronic cigarette consists of a nicotine cartridge containing liquid nicotine. When a user inhales, a tiny battery powered atomizer turns a small amount of liquid nicotine into vapour. Inhaling nicotine vapour gives the user a nicotine hit in seconds rather than minutes with patches or gum. When the user inhales, a small LED light at the tip of the electronic cigarette glows orange to simulate a real cigarette.

While Electronic cigarettes look, feel and taste much like traditional cigarettes, they function very differently. You see, electronic cigarettes do not actually burn any tobacco, but rather, when you inhale from an e-cigarette, you activate a “flow censor” which releases a water vapor containing nicotine, propylene glycol, and a scent that simulates the flavor of tobacco. All of which simply means that electronic cigarettes allow you to get your nicotine fix while avoiding all of the cancer causing agents found in traditional cigarettes such as tar, glue, hundreds of additives, and hydrocarbons.

In addition to being healthier than traditional cigarettes, and perhaps most importantly of all, is the fact that electronic cigarettes are completely legal. Because Electronic cigarettes do not involve tobacco, you can legally smoke them anywhere that traditional cigarettes are prohibited such as bars, restaurants, the work place, even on airplanes. Furthermore, electronic cigarettes allow you to smoke with no fears of inflicting harm on others due to nasty second hand smoke.

Digital Cameras

March 8th, 2010

We are going to go right back to basics and explain the most popular features are that are available on today’s modern digital cameras. We have put together a simple guide describing the key terms that are used.

Megapixels. What are they?

These are the little dots of light that make up your picture. If you want to print out larger than a standard photo - say A4 to A3 - then 12 megapixels should be adequate. Do not be flattered by the number of megapixels. Less can sometimes be more; too many on a tiny sensor means that you risk distorting your picture with noise. That means that your photo will have loads of grainy dots.

Screen size

This is often quoted in inches. 2.5 to 3 inches will give you enough space around the back to be able to have a gander with ease at what is going on. The screens are normally LCDs although some of the newer cameras offer touch-screen technology - a bit like an iPhone. It is essential to get some plastic film protector as this is the first place to collect bad scratches.

Optical zoom

This is “real zoom”. It relies on the camera’s optical system to get closer in to the action so you get to keep those megapixels, also known as the resolution, for a higher quality image. This is definitely better than digital zoom. When choosing a camera, look only at the optical zoom stats.

Medical travel Mexico

March 3rd, 2010

Mexico is the perfect medical tourism destination. It has beaches and resorts galore, hot sunny weather, bustling cities and a comprehensive tourist infrastructure. In addition, many of the best medical centers in the country are located within the most popular tourist areas and cities.

The first step in planning for medical travel Mexico is deciding on one of the hip replacement surgeons and having a phone consultation with the surgeon. A full discussion of your case should occur, including information about the prostethetics, the length of the procedure, pre-surgery instructions and full detailing of what to expect during the recovery period. After the surgeon has reviewed one’s medical records and approved the medical traveler for surgery, the next step is to meet with a travel coordinator who will simplify the tedious tasks of arranging travel, lodging, and any other additional costs or accommodations needed during travel.

Mexico Hotels
Everything is available from cheap dormitory accommodation to five-star hotels in the towns and resorts. Rates are reasonable although haven risen of late. You could pick up a budget place for around US$20 per night, while a Marriot or Four Seasons in Mexico City would cost you around US$500.
